Molecular & structural imaging & sensing

Dartmouth faculty have led engineering of technologies that sense tissue molecular components and function for diagnostic or therapeutic purpose. These tools directly sample signals or guide signals for unique information about the molecular concentrations or the sub-microscopic structures making up the tissue. In most cases, these signals are interpreted and systems designed through computational modeling interaction mechanisms. Innovations in source signals, detector design and image/spectral processing lie at the heart of new diagnostic instrumentation engineering pioneered at the Center.
